The Dallas Mavericks will face the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals. We're here to share our NBA Finals odds series and make a Jaylen Brown NBA Finals points-per-game prediction and pick while predicting what he will do.

Brown is back in the NBA Finals after failing to capture the Larry O'Brien Championship two seasons ago. Now, he is looking to finish the story after he was on the team that lost in six games to the Golden State Warriors. It's important to note that Brown averaged 23.5 points per game in those games, which happens to be the point spread for this series. Thus, he gets a chance to match it or even do more.

Brown has shown what he is capable of doing in these playoffs. Ultimately, he is very dangerous around the post and in the paint and can definitely take over a game. The Celtics hope he can produce some points to give them a chance at their 18th championship.

Why Jaylen Brown Will Hit the Over

Brown exploded for 33 points in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against the Miami Heat. Then, he hit 25 points in Game 5 while shooting 11 for 19 to help the Celtics close out the series. Brown averaged 22.8 points per game in that series, which was less than what the spread would be for this series.

But he turned it up slightly in the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Amazingly, he started hot with 32 points in Game 1 while shooting 12 for 18. Brown also finished with 28 points while shooting 13 for 17 in Game 3. Then, he managed 27 points while shooting 9 for 15. The Celtics won the games where he managed 25 or more points. Thus, it illustrated how important he is to the team and what he can contribute. Brown finished with 23.4 points per game in that series.

But the Western Conference Finals was where Brown truly shined. First, he managed 26 points while shooting 10 for 20. Brown erupted for 40 points while shooting 14 for 27 in Game 2. Then, he had 24 points while shooting 10 for 18 in Game 3 before finishing with 29 points on 11 for 22 shooting in Game 4.

Brown averaged 29.75 points over these four games while helping the Celtics complete a four-game sweep of the Indiana Pacers. Overall, his shooting was on point, and there was little resistance. His ability to hit his shot from anywhere on the court made him a threat, and he was able to capitalize on every opportunity he received. Likewise, he seems to be getting better with every game.

Brown will hit the over because the Celtics are relying on him more than ever as they try and secure their 18th championship. Moreover, there will be more pressure on Jayson Tatum, which may open up some opportunities for Brown.

Why Jaylen Brown Will Hit the Under

But Brown has also had some games where he struggled to do anything. Unfortunately, the one slight on him is that he sometimes disappears from games.

Brown had 17 points while shooting 6 for 12 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against the Heat. Later, he had 17 points in Game 4 while shooting 7 for 18. The inconsistency he showed in that series illustrated why it's difficult to trust him to hit his marks. Overall, he averaged 22.8 points per game in that series, which was below par.

While Brown did do better in the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Cavs, he also had two games where he went under 20 points. First, he had 19 points while shooting 7 for 17 in a Game 2 loss. Brown also managed just 11 points while shooting 4 for 9 in the Game 5 series clincher.

Brown is a talented player who will definitely put up points. However, this team is also incredibly loaded, and the return of Kristaps Porzingis may threaten his scoring totals.

Brown will hit the under because he is too inconsistent. Then, the return of Porzingis, along with the prescience of other talented players may hinder his scoring.

Final Jaylen Brown Points Per Game Prediction

How will Brown do in the second go-round? Remember, the Celtics acquired Porzingis and Jrue Holiday because they knew they needed extra weapons to have a shot at winning the championship. Because of this, those extra weapons may take away some points from Brown. There may be some games where he scores a lot of points. However, he may fall just short of expectations, regardless of how well the Celtics play.
