The quest for a playoff spot in the AFC isn't over for the New York Jets. Although Todd Bowles squad has struggled for most of the season, the team is still in contention for the postseason, and as a result, New York won't be sending Josh McCown to the bench.

The Jets will continue to go with McCown as their starting quarterback moving forward, via ESPN's Rich Cimini.

“I'm not coming up with a scenario right now (that would involve a change),” Bowles said Monday. “We're going to play the games and we're going to try to win each one … Josh will be our quarterback and we'll go from there.”

Heading into Week 11, the Jets are sporting a 4-6 record and are in last place in the AFC East division. As per usual, Tom Brady's New England Patriots (7-2) are leading the way in the division while the three other teams scramble to catch up to the defending Super Bowl champions.

In the second half of the 2017 campaign, the Jets will face some tough challenges against notable teams like the Patriots, New Orleans Saints, Carolina Panthers, and Kansas City Chiefs. Although McCown is currently the starter, Bowles may end up turning to Bryce Petty or Christian Hackenberg if he starts to struggles against some of these AFC and NFC heavyweights to finish out the regular season.

In 10 games thus far, McCown has thrown for 2,242 yards, 14 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. These aren't stats for the quarterback, but he's also got five fumbles.
