After a sluggish start to the season, the Kansas City Chiefs have now won two straight games. They may have gotten lucky vs. an Aaron Rodgers-less Green Bay Packers team last week but hey, a win is still a win. And now, Kansas City looks to add to their winning streak as they take on their division nemesis Las Vegas Raiders for Week 10’s showdown.

With that in mind, here are our Chiefs Week 10 predictions.

4. Patrick Mahomes won’t be stopped by the Raiders

Over the course of Mahomes’ career, he has an impressive 2,000 yards with 17 touchdowns against three interceptions in six starts against the Raiders. Las Vegas has never contained Mahomes and it doesn’t seem like they would be able to once again this week. Mahomes and his squad thrive under pressure and now that Kansas needs to rank up more wins, history has proven that they’ll be able to do just that. It’ll take a lot from the Raiders to stop the Chiefs’ quarterback.

3. The Chiefs’ offense will out power the Raiders

Unlike the Chiefs, the Raiders have started their season quite well but have faltered in the past few weeks. Las Vegas is hard to trust, even at home, given their recent performance and it’s going to also take a lot of their offense to outduel the Chiefs’ biggest weapon. Despite barely beating the Green Bay Packers, it’s just easier to trust Mahomes and Andy Reid to lead this offense on an important game. The Chiefs know this is their shot to beat the team that sits atop their division and they’re going to do everything they can to make a statement.

2. The Chiefs’ momentum will be a huge advantage

Momentum is an underrated aspect in sports, especially heading into big games like this one. Despite unconvincing performances, the Chiefs are riding on a winning stream while it seems like things are falling apart with the Raiders. Both teams know this is a make-or-break game as the chase for the playoffs spot continues. And if the Chiefs have learned from their mistakes both on defense and offense in the past few games, there’s a good chance they can take this one home.

1. This game will come down to the wire

The Raiders have depended on QB Derek Carr but that seemed to fall apart against New Jersey last week. Carr struggled and was intercepted twice. It didn’t help that he only threw one touchdown. If there’s one bounce back game Carr should set his eyes on, it’s against the Chiefs on Sunday. The biggest advantage the Raiders have is the weakness of the Chiefs’ defense and the Raiders will need a really big game from Carr if they want a chance.

As for the Chiefs, their offense has to do whatever it takes to hide the flaws of their defense. If Kansas’ defense can somehow be close to decent then Mahomes can lead them to victory once again. If the Chiefs win on Sunday, suddenly it’s going to look good for Kansas once again.
