Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson has not played an NBA game in over two and a half years due to back-to-back knee and Achilles injuries. He has been taking his most recent comeback very slowly and is almost ready for a return. While he says he will still defer to the medical staff on the exact date of his return, he did drop one hint, via Anthony Slater, that could lead to him making his return at home.

Whenever he does return, Thompson will be joining the best team in the NBA. Sitting at 27-7 even without Thompson and young center James Wiseman, it has been the Stephen Curry and Draymond Green Show.

In 32 games played, Curry has averaged, 34.7 minutes, 27.7 points, 5,3 rebounds, 5.9 assists, .5 blocks, 1.6 steals, and 3.4 turnovers per game while shooting 39.7 percent from three, 43.3 percent from the field, and 92.3 percent from the free-throw line.

In 31 NBA games played so far for Green, he has averaged 8.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, 7.9 assists, 1.2 blocks, 1.4 steals, and 3.2 turnovers per game. His shooting percentages have been fluctuating a bit from past years' performances. His field goal percentage (54.7 percent) is way up from his career averages, but his three-point accuracy (28.9 percent) and free throw hitting (59.7 percent) has suffered.

Perhaps more good shots and open layups once Thompson returns will be just what the doctor ordered in order to get Green's percentages on track for the Warriors. Thompson has career NBA averages of 19.5 points on 46 percent shooting from the field and an amazing 42 percent mark for his career from three-point range, good for 13th in NBA history.
