Not so long ago, Grammy-award winning artist Rihanna was caught by the cameras in what appeared to be a moment of appreciation for the one and only Los Angeles Lakers legend Alex Caruso. The 6-foot-5 point guard has recently opened up about that infamous moment, and has vowed to make a move the next time this happens.

According to Caruso, he has every intention to “dap up” the renowned R&B singer and songwriter at the next possible opportunity:

“If it happens again, I’ll try to make something happen, I’ll go over and try and dap her up. For the culture,” Caruso promised on a recent appearance on “The LiucciCast” podcast, via Christian Rivas of Silver Screen & Roll.

Do we have a potentially massive love team brewing here? Probably not. However, it's still so much fun to imagine the possibilities. Caruso is undeniably one of the biggest cult favorites not only in L.A., but throughout the NBA as well, and linking him to one of the most popular celebrities in the nation just seems like a match made in heaven.

Caruso should get his chance in the near future, with Rihanna a regular spectator in Lakers home games. She is a huge LeBron James fan, supporting the three-time NBA champ since his days with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Rihanna should be in attendance in a Lakers game sooner rather than later — that is of course if and when the league allows spectators during live games. At this point, we're not even sure when that will be.
