Back in October, when the 2019-20 NBA season had little idea what was on its collective horizon, the Los Angeles Lakers encountered some magic.

David Blaine, a magician, who has a new special on ABC called “The Magic Way,” was invited to visit the team to unveil a card trick with the assistance of Anthony Davis and LeBron James. What followed had both Davis and James staggered:

Davis and James may be used to making magic of their own on the floor, but this is a new realm entirely. The man-made nearly an entire deck of cards disappear in midair while having his hands bound.

No matter what you think of Blaine’s show or card tricks in general, Davis, James and JaVale McGee’s reaction to the conclusion are priceless.

Now that they have it, is there any chance that the Lakers are spending time figuring out how this went down?
