There has been so much slander thrown at LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers this summer after what was an eventful offseason for the Purple & Gold. LeBron and Co. are taking note of all the negative narratives that have popped up and are using these as fuel to motivate themselves for the upcoming campaign. As it turns out, there is perhaps no one more motivated in the squad than Anthony Davis.
LeBron addressed the media on Tuesday as training camp kicked off and when talking about the Lakers' chances for 2020-21, The King issued a scary warning to the rest of the league about AD (h/t Spectrum SportsNet on Twitter):
Davis' season came to a disappointing end last year after injuries hampered his performance in the playoffs. He was unable to help the Lakers overcome eventual Western Conference champs, the Phoenix Suns, in the first round, and since then, it's as if people have forgotten just how outstanding Anthony Davis is as a basketball player.
LeBron is sending out a quick reminder here that AD is still a top dog in the NBA. Davis also going to be coming out with a vengeance in the new season, so at this point, the rest of the league (and the naysayers as well) better be ready.
