LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers' crazy week of basketball continues on Friday night against the Memphis Grizzlies, but Mychal Thompson had one simple request for the team.

The Lakers have played a ton of minutes lately, as their last three games reached an extra period–including a double-overtime game last Saturday against the Detroit Pistons.

Thankfully, the Lakers found ways to win all three of those contests, even though it wasn't pretty.

LeBron James has played at least 41 minutes in each of the matchups, as he has been without Anthony Davis in the last two. Fortunately, The Brow made his return on Friday just in the nick of time after being listed as questionable.

Still, Mychal Thompson said he wants to “get home at a reasonable time,” and hopefully, the Lakers can take care of business before it requires extra time to be added to the clock.

James has been playing at an MVP-type level all year and is one of the leaders on the KIA NBA MVP ladder. He is averaging 25.5 points with 7.9 rebounds and assists as the Lakers remain right behind the Utah Jazz for the top mark in the Western Conference.

The Pistons and Thunder simply aren't teams the Purple and Gold should be needing overtime for, and perhaps the loss of Davis hurt a lot, but they still need to find a way to take care of business and preserve James for the playoff stretch.

LA plays the Denver Nuggets on Sunday and the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday before a huge showdown on Thursday night against the Brooklyn Nets at Staples Center in a potential NBA Finals preview. With that said, having James rested and ready to go is important.
