On legendary shooting guard Kobe Bryant's jersey retirement night, Los Angeles Lakers power forward Julius Randle brought the Staples Center crowd to its feet when he posterized Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant with a thunderous one-handed dunk.

The play, which happened with 4:19 left in the first quarter, sent the Lakers' bench into a frenzy after Randle attacked Durant down in the paint. NBATV's official Twitter account posted a video shortly after the exciting play went down, which can be viewed below:

Although Julius Randle's throwdown is downright nasty, one still has to commend the effort of Kevin Durant to try and reject the rampaging power forward. It's a good mentality to always want to challenge opponents' shots and being posterized is always part of the hazard.

The Lakers' bench unit, which is currently second in the NBA in terms of scoring, continues to get a good deal of production from the likes of Randle, rookie forward Kyle Kuzma and guard Jordan Clarkson throughout their 2017-18 campaign.
