The Las Vegas Raiders try to remain undefeated as they take on the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football. This is a high-stakes game, because the winner of this contest will take an early lead in the AFC West and gain a multi-game cushion against the struggling Kansas City Chiefs. It's time to continue our NFL predictions series with a Raiders Week 4 prediction.

Vegas has been a pleasant surprise to start the year. The defense has played a key role in the Silver and Black's success. They seem to have an elite pass rush, which bodes well for their chances. Justin Herbert has been an elite quarterback from the start of his career; slowing him down is a key to success for the Raiders.

Las Vegas has been offensively sound so far. The Raiders are lighting up the scoreboard right now, which makes them a tough team to beat. Josh Jacobs has sat out the last two games, but he hopes to bounce back against Los Angeles. Henry Ruggs has gotten more involved recently and should continue expanding his role. Lastly, Derek Carr has looked like an elite franchise quarterback through three games.

With that said, here are four bold Raiders Week 4 predictions versus the Chargers.

Raiders Week 4 Predictions

4. Raiders defense bothers Justin Herbert

As mentioned previously, attacking Justin Herbert should be a key to victory for Las Vegas. The Chargers' offensive line is hindered right now, making their pass protection vulnerable. Maxx Crosby has been balling out this season and he'll aim to carry that momentum into Monday night. This should be an electric game, but if the Raiders can pressure Herbert effectively, they'll walk away with their fourth win this year.

3. Josh Jacobs explodes for 100 yards and two touchdowns

He looked great in the season opener but was clearly struggling with injuries. Jon Gruden smartly sat out his star running back the last two games to let Josh Jacobs heal. Now, Jacobs seems healthy and ready to go against the Chargers.

Based on how we've seen Peyton Barber run the ball, we should see Jacobs dominate the run game. He's easily the best running back on the roster and will be a focal point of the Raiders' offensive attack. Look for Jacobs to have a big performance; he'll provide consistency in the run game for Las Vegas.

2. Henry Ruggs plays as the best receiver on the field Monday night

Henry Ruggs has looked phenomenal in his last two games. He's building chemistry with Derek Carr, becoming a major contributor to the offense. Ruggs has shown solid hands which can reel in tough catches.

The Chargers have a decent secondary, but most of the attention will be on Darren Waller. For that reason, Ruggs could get lost in the Chargers' back line of defense and find himself open. If Gruden can generate some creative playcalling, Henry Ruggs could be in for a big game on Monday.

1. Derek Carr puts on an MVP performance

He's continuously slept on, but it seems Derek Carr is gaining the national attention he deserves. The Raiders' offense has been running on all cylinders and it's been impressive to say the least. He's a dark-horse MVP candidate right now, but if Carr delivers during a primetime game again, the Raiders will be taken seriously as a contender this season.
