The LSU Tigers got some unfortunate news after hiring head coach Brian Kelly. LSU is now going to lose their starting quarterback Max Johnson and his younger brother Jake Johnson who is a four-star tight end recruit in the 2022 class. Jake Johnson was the number one recruit for tight ends in the entire country. They're also going to lose Deion Smith who is a talented wide receiver for the Tigers.

These are tough losses for Kelly and the Tigers. Many people around the college football world believe that most do not want to play with Kelly due to some of the antics that he pulls behind the scenes. This was just recently seen as he left Notre Dame and instead of telling their kids straight to their faces, he sent a text out and they all found out via social media.

LSU made a good hiring in terms of somebody who can help them win games. Unfortunately, many question the type of man that he is, and players de-committing and leaving the program shows that.

LSU had a disappointing season this year that saw them play the worst football that they have played in a very long time. If LSU wants to get back on track, Brian Kelly is going to need to do a great job recruiting kids and keeping current players who can make an impact. Anything short of a national title for the Tigers is a disappointment so Kelly needs to make sure that he can get guys in to help them compete to win.
