It's a shame that the fight between Arron Afflalo and Nemanja Bjelica became the most talked about part of the Orlando Magic and Minnesota Timberwolves' meeting this past Tuesday. It was a great game that had the Magic earning an impressive upset victory against one of the hottest teams in the league, 108-102.

For the Magic, it's a night that's also great because of two things: 1) they snapped a seven-game losing streak and 2) their key guard, Evan Fournier, scored a career-high 32 points and knocked down a career-high-tying six 3-pointers.

Fournier is continuing to be one of the team's most consistent sources of offense, which is very much needed since the Magic are short of weapons on that side of the floor (15th in scoring and 23rd in offensive efficiency). His reliability was also further proven in last night's big performance, as he stepped up nicely for the team's other main scorer Aaron Gordon, who struggled getting buckets (5-for-17).

Here's what Fournier told Dante Marchitelli of Fox Sports Florida following the win:

“It feels good man, you know, especially against a very good team. The Timberwolves were playing really good before playing against us. I think they have the best record in the West since Christmas, so it's a good win.”

“But like, especially defensively, we did a good job.”

The 2017-18 season is Fournier's fourth year in Orlando. He's been increasing his scoring average for the team every year, and his current numbers of 18.0 points, 2.2 threes per game, and  89 percent clip from the free throw line are all career-bests.
