He already told us before and on Saturday night, Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns proved it. The 26-year-old definitely backed up his claim as being one of the greatest shooting big men ever by bagging the 2022 NBA All-Star 3-point contest crown.

Towns set a new record of 29 points in the final round of the contest as the Timberwolves center defied the odds to win it all (h/t Bleacher Report on Twitter):

Towns shot first in the final round and behind him were a couple of the best sharp-shooters in the league in Trae Young and Luke Kennard. Trae came close with a score of 28, but in the end, neither of them could dethrone KAT from the title.

After the win, Towns kept on saying that he had all told us so. He did. And now he has the hardware to prove it. KAT even had a special shoutout for Hall of Fame big man Shaquille O'Neal, who himself had his reservations about Towns' claim of being the GOAT big man shooter.

To be honest, that's a pretty audacious claim from Karl-Anthony Towns. Is this astonishing 3-point contest win enough to confirm his status as he so claims? Did we all forget about a guy named Dirk Nowitzki?
