Last week, Drake posted on Instagram a photo of him and NBA superstar and Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant spending time.

This could be a concerning development after Tuesday's reveal that the two-time NBA champion, along with three other members of the Nets, tested positive for COVID-19.

It is worth noting that Kevin Durant was in Los Angeles last week while the Nets were in town facing the Lakers on March 10. It might have been when Drake and KD hung out.

Durant has been sidelined the entire 2019-20 season after rupturing his Achilles tendon in Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals with the Golden State Warriors.

Durant landed on the east coast in a sign-and-trade in order to unite with All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving (and DeAndre Jordan) with the Nets.

Drake's possible association with the now tested-positive Durant raises alarm due to public health officials' warning to prevent any contact with individuals that contracted coronavirus. It's unclear when Durant had the virus, with no certain timeline or idea who passed the virus to the injured forward.

Utah Jazz stars center Rudy Gobert and guard Donovan Mitchell tested positive for the virus last week, along with Detroit Pistons power forward Christian Wood. The Nets did not play either team since January, although it is possibly other people came in contact with members of the team after that, passing the virus to Durant and three other players.

The NBA suspended league operations effective March 12 initially for a 30-day period, but it looks like the current hiatus will be extended even further due to the number of players contracting coronavirus along with untold other number of coaches, officials, and staff members in organizations.
