Dwyane Wade was put in quite a dilemma after the Miami Heat booked their place in the NBA Finals on Sunday with a series-clinching Game 6 win over the Boston Celtics. None other than the great Magic Johnson called out Wade to see where his loyalty lies: is it with his beloved Heat or with his best buddy LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers?

Wade responded to Magic's Twitter query, and the Heat legend made no room for any doubt with his answer:

Wade spent a grand total of 14-plus seasons with the Heat in two separate stints. He's widely considered to be the greatest player in Heat history thanks to his success and longevity. He led this team to its first championship in franchise history in 2006, and he followed it up with two more in 2012 and 2013, playing alongside — who else — LeBron himself.

Dwyane Wade and LeBron James go way back, with the two entering the NBA at the same time in 2003. They crossed paths when LeBron memorably took his talents to South Beach from 2010 to 2014. Despite being teammates for just four seasons, these two have been the best of friends for pretty much their entire adult lives.

Be that as it may, Wade is temporarily setting his friendship aside here to root against his buddy. After all, this is the Heat we're talking about here. There was never really any doubt for Wade, who couldn't be happier for Jimmy Butler and his old team. For his part, we're sure LeBron won't mind, but there sure is going to be a bit of friendly banter between these two.

Plus, as Dwyane Wade notes, it's basically a win-win for him anyway.
