Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry took home his second straight Most Valuable Player award on Tuesday and earned all 131 first-place votes, making him the first player in NBA history to earn the honor unanimously.
It's hard to disagree with Curry becoming the league's first unanimous MVP. His 402 three pointers obliterated his own all-time single-season record and his 30.1 points per game was tops among all players.
Many around the NBA agreed, and heaped praise upon Curry following the announcement. Here's some of the reaction:
Back to Back MVP @StephenCurry30 is the most exciting player in the NBA today and he played like it last night!

I'm surprised Curry was unanimous because I think it's almost impossible to get 130 people to singularly agree on anything. But it happened.

Curry as unanimous MVP means he has now also broken basketball media. If you can't get even one wingnut to break formation, the game is done

As if Curry's accomplishments weren't impressive enough, here's a look at the other players who have won consecutive MVPs:
Back-to-back MVPs: Russell, Wilt, Kareem, Moses, Bird, Magic, Jordan, Duncan, Nash, LeBron, Steph

With another MVP in hand, Curry will now try to guide his team to a second straight championship. The Warriors are well on their way, having taken a 3-1 lead over the Blazers on Monday night to put them one game away from a berth in the Western Conference finals.
