Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball completely proved why he was the Rookie of the Year last season in a big 104-96 win on Friday over the New York Knicks.

Ball was literally doing it all, finishing with 12 points, 17 boards, nine assists, and five steals. In the process, the guard reached a feat that only Luka Doncic and Magic Johnson have bettered. Via SportsCenter:

That's a pretty impressive feat and goes to show just how much of a complete player the Hornets youngster is on both ends of the court. To be mentioned in the same breath as Magic is something in itself. Same with Doncic, who is one of the league's brightest talents.

Ball's ability to grab rebounds could be the most impressive of the lot because he's not exactly the most imposing figure. Given the type of players on the Knicks who are usually a force on the glass, LaMelo blew them out of the water. In fact, the next closest in boards was Alec Burks with nine.

The Hornets have now won two straight and it was truly an all-around performance. Four of their five starters finished in double-digits, with Miles Bridges continuing his breakout campaign with 24 points. LaMelo had just 12 for the second consecutive game but as you can see, he impacted the game in almost every way imaginable.
