Dallas Mavericks rookie Dennis Smith Jr. is a really good dunker.

The No. 9 overall pick, who was touted as one of the most athletic players in his draft class, quickly made that evident in the Summer League as he came up with a handful of highlight reel dunks. Even his missed dunk attempts were attention-worthy.

More recently, Smith had a particularly juicy, dunk contest-worthy jam last week during warm-ups.

And on Monday, Dennis Smith Jr. added another impressive dunk to his growing collection in preseason action against the Orlando Magic. The Mavs guard exploded quickly upon finding an open lane to the rim and delivered a huge jam after spending what seemed like an eternity airborne.

Smith finished with 16 points, six rebounds, and seven assists in 26 minutes as the Mavs beat the Magic, 99-96. Given his out-of-this-world hops, expect to see a few more amazing dunks from Smith over the course of the season.

But more than his highlight-reel dunks, it’s that sort of all-around production the Mavs will need from their promising young rookie this season, especially while Seth Curry remains sidelined indefinitely with a stress reaction in his left leg.
