Jamal Murray and Donovan Mitchell traded blows during the first-round series between the Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz.

Murray led his team back from 3-1 down and had multiple 50-point games in the series, while Mitchell averaged a whopping 36.3 points and shot over 50 percent from beyond the arc over the course of seven games.

The Nuggets barely held on for a two-point victory in Game 7 on Tuesday night, offering a thrilling conclusion to an unbelievable series. Murray consoled Mitchell after the final buzzer sounded, and it seems the two also spent time reflecting after the game.

Los Angeles Lakers swingman Danny Green said he spotted Murray and Mitchell hanging out and talking after Game 7:

The two players garnered the attention of basketball fans everywhere with their phenomenal scoring antics throughout the Nuggets-Jazz series.

Murray and Mitchell often saved their best for the fourth quarter, exchanging long 3-pointers and attacking the rim with reckless abandon. The young stars also made history by scoring the most combined points by a pair of players in any playoff series, passing NBA Hall of Famers Jerry West and John Havlicek.

The high-scoring duo will soon go their separate ways. Murray will prepare for his second-round series against the Los Angeles Clippers, which should be just as tough a test as the Jazz proved to be. The Nuggets will certainly be the underdog against the mighty Clippers, but don't count them out given how well Murray and Nikola Jokic are playing.

Meanwhile, Mitchell and his teammates will go back to the drawing board. The past six months have made for trying times amid a slew of rumors, though it seems Mitchell is heading toward a long-term contract with Utah. The relationship with Rudy Gobert also appears to be repaired, at least for now.
