Draymond Green candidly shared an anecdote from last year's Game 7 NBA Finals loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he reached out to Kevin Durant following the game in order to reload for next season.

Durant has vehemently denied it, saying it's “100 percent false” — a response which has kept his teammate scratching his head after obtaining a second championship in the last three years.

“I told him, you know, we needed him to join the force and let's win some championships together,” Green said on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! “Let him tell it, I'm lying. I don't know if you saw the report a few days ago, he said I was lying. It's ridiculous.”

Green apparently still has the proof in his hands, telling Kimmel he'd be willing to let someone inspect his phone to find out the truth through their text message conversations.

“I told him we wanted him here,” Green said. “And he said, ‘Let's do this.'”
