Game 4 of the NBA Finals turned out to be a forgettable one for the Golden State Warriors as they saw their 15-game postseason winning streak halted and the Cleveland Cavaliers avoided getting swept. The home team had a game for the ages as they led from start to finish and even set a number of records on the night.

Despite giving the opponents their due credit, Draymond Green also talked about how the match was officiated and said that he felt the referees prevented them from playing their normal games due to the unusual number of fouls called, via Shams Charania of The Vertical.

“When we're tied up, what can we do? When we've got guys – like Steph (Curry), Klay (Thompson), me, (Kevin Durant) – picking up two, three fouls in a hurry, it's tough to bring the physicality. How can we play physical with some of the stuff going on out there tonight?

“Give credit to Kyrie (Irving) and (LeBron James), they played like the stars that they are. Those guys wanted it. There was more going on out there. If we wanted to play more physical, how could we?”

The Dubs were whistled for 27 fouls on Friday, which translated to more free throws for their opponents. There were also some bizarre calls that were hard to explain even after the game ended. However, the Cavs had a masterful performance which allowed them to blowout the Warriors and pull within two games from tying the series and forcing a Game 7 for the second consecutive year.

Green still finished the night with impressive numbers of 16 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, and two steals, but they weren't enough for his team to keep its unblemished record and bring the title back to Oakland. He is hopeful that the officiating will not dictate how they’ll play on Monday night, and that they can bounce back quickly from their rare defeat back in Game 4.
