The hype for Game 7 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Golden State Warriors was sky-high, and very much warranted. The series delivered on all levels, and the final deciding match didn't disappoint.
Fans across the world tuned in to see if the 73-9 Warriors could complete their comeback from a 3-1 deficit, and after all of the numbers were compiled, last night's Game 7 made history.
According to Turner Sports, Warriors-Thunder Game 7 garnered a 11.2 household metered-market rating, which is the highest of any NBA game ever on cable.

TNT later released that there were an average of 16 million viewers for Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals, making it not only the most watched NBA game ever on cable, but also the most watched program ever on TNT.
The release also stated that the game was the most watched non-Finals NBA telecast since Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Portland Trail Blazers.
Given the star power in the Finals rematch between Golden State and the Cleveland Cavaliers, expect more record-breaking numbers over the next two weeks.
Last year's NBA Finals averaged 19.939 viewers. This year's @cavs–@warriors rematch is easily going over 20 million. Great TV matchup.
