On Tuesday night, the Golden State Warriors made their much-anticipated preseason home debut against the Los Angeles Clippers.
It marked the first game that their prized new recruit, Kevin Durant, took to the Oracle Arena floor wearing the Dubs' colors. It was also the first time for home fans to see him in action together with the team's returning “big three” of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
Though much of the attention was on the 2014 MVP, Thompson stole the show by leading all scorers with 30 points, including shooting 6-of-9 from three-point range.
Thanks to the hot start from the two-time all-star, the Warriors took the lead early and never looked back. They blew out the Clips 120-75.
