The Golden State Warriors have breezed through the Western Conference Playoffs, and proof of this is their unblemished 12-0 record so far. Despite running almost the same sets of their high-octane offense in all three rounds, they remain very tough to defend and opposing teams still don’t understand how their system works.
A popular YouTuber, Coach Daniel, recently came up with a video breakdown of the Dubs’ offense and explains why they have been successful in their postseason run so far. He split the conversation into three parts, quick change of direction, using motion as disguise and various wrinkles and progressions, to have a better understanding of it. Coach Daniel also used clips from the conference finals to have a visual of their set plays.

The Cleveland Cavaliers may want to watch this video to prepare themselves better for their NBA Finals showdown. However, with the experience and knowledge of their coaching staff, it’s expected that they already know this and are practicing how they’ll play defense against them.
Should the Cavs anticipate what their opponents will do next, it will be interesting to see what kind of adjustments Mike Brown and company will do keep their opponents guessing on the defensive end. Until that happens though, the Warriors will continue to run what made them successful so far this year, and see first if the defending champions can stop it or not.
