Not that any team or person would it admit it, but if any player in the NBA is scared of another it's Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry. There isn't a team in the NBA that Curry hasn't dropped 42 or more points on in a single game, but some teams should fear him more than others.
There's specifically three teams that should be terrified when facing number thirty.
Toronto Raptors
Curry's scoring average against the Raptors is his third-highest amongst any team at 27.4 per game. When Curry faces the Raptors, he is more than just a dynamic scorer. He becomes a better playmaker. He averages his highest assists totals against the Raptors and Minnesota Timberwolves with 7.6 assists per game.
It's absolute dominance and potentially the best version of Curry we see each year. When he is scoring and playmaking, it makes the Warriors virtually unbeatable. It's more than likely the reason Curry is 16-3 in his career against the Canadian team. If the Raptors are not circling the game against the Warriors on the calendar each season, nobody will blame them. Playing the two-time MVP doesn't seem to go well for the Raptors, but they aren't alone.
Washington Wizards
The Washington Wizards are another team who might expect a long night every time they face Stephen Curry. He's scored 51 points not once but twice in his career against the Wizards. For context, he's poured in 51 or more nine times out of 762 career games. Unfortunately, of the nine games he's reached that mark, two came against the same team, which is just bad luck.
Article Continues BelowCurry dominating when seeing the Wizards on the schedule isn't just a rare occasion. He averages his second-highest points per game against the Wizards with 27.8 per game. He does it while shooting 49.6 percent from the field and 46.4 from deep. Fans should be excited when facing the Wizards because it's more than likely to see a huge game.
Portland Trail Blazers
The last team who should hate playing Stephen Curry is a team that usually plays competitive games against the Dubs. The Portland Trail Blazers. In Curry's career, he has a winning advantage of 22-11 over the Blazers. Where things get ugly is when you look at what Curry did in those games.
He averages his best points per game against any franchise in the NBA at 28.0 per game. He puts up that number while shooting 48.2 percent from the field and 45.5 percent from long range. When playing the Blazers, it's usually a battle mainly because of Damian Lillard, who averages 28.9 points per game against the Dubs. It makes for a fun night of basketball, but it usually results in a loss for the Blazers.
Stephen Curry also scored his career-high for points in a single game against Portland. This past season in the middle of comparisons to Lillard, Curry put up a whopping 62 points. He achieved this feat in only 36 minutes of play. In that game, Curry shot 18-31 from the field, 8-16 from beyond the arc, and was 18-19 from the charity stripe. The two-time MVP torched the Blazers, and it was nothing they could do about it. If the Blazers don't hate playing Curry, he sure loves to play them.
These are just three teams that might dislike playing Stephen Curry, but it's more. Nobody will admit it, but it has to be some teams who don't look forward to facing him. Regardless of anyone saying they hate playing Curry or not, he will continue to punish opponents nightly and make it very difficult for the person who has to make his career highlight film.
