There’s going to be ups and downs and bumps in the road, whether it’s self-inflicted or whether it’s from outside. And at the end of the day, nothing should distract us from what our goal is.” Curry said per Fox Sports.
“Once we get over these injuries, we’ll be able to show what we’re about as a team. It’s an opportunity to really implode and crumble, but that’s not going to happen.”
Curry was not with the team when all hell broke loose in Los Angeles, where Kevin Durant and Draymond Green had their heated confrontation. Despite the losing slide still continuing, it seems like Durant, Green, and the rest of the team left this chapter in the past.
At one point, it seemed like the dynasty in the Bay Area was crumbling right before our very eyes. But Curry re-assured everyone that the Warriors will not let things like these distract them from their ultimate goal. Slowly, the defending champs are recovering, both from the emotional drama over the past week, and with some injuries from their key superstars Curry and Green.
Like what Curry said, the Warriors have a chance to do something special this year. Winning that coveted three-peat makes them the first team since the Shaq and Kobe Lakers to accomplish this feat.
