The Golden State Warriors injury bug has not ceased biting just yet. On Tuesday, the team got the news that swingman Damion Lee sustained a broken right hand during Monday's loss to the Utah Jazz:

Lee scored eight points on 4-for-11 shooting across 22 minutes Monday before departing. His injury adds to the laundry list of ailments that has turned the Warriors' season sideways almost nearly out of the starting block. Lee's broken hand becomes the second significant hand break for Golden State, who has already lost Stephen Curry for the foreseeable future due a hand fracture of his own.

As Anthony Slater of The Athletic points out, Lee, who is on a two-way deal with the Warriors, has a 45-day limit on the team's roster before potentially earning a standard NBA deal. While injured, he will not accumulate roster time toward that mark, giving head coach Steve Kerr and Co. time to decide how their roster will shake out:

In 11 games off the bench for Golden State, Lee showed flashes of being a consistent bench scorer, having accumulated 10.0 points per game in 21.9 minutes per night. He played sparingly for the Warriors last season, getting into 32 games as a reserve, although not having anywhere near the impact that he has had in the early part of 2019-20.

His absence will likely force Jordan Poole into a larger role than he has already had to take on, while Glenn Robinson III should continue to see a pile of minutes at the small forward slot.
