Golden State Warriors forward and Finals MVP Kevin Durant turned 29 years old on September 29. And for his natal day, he got a cupcake-themed birthday cake which included his recently-released Nike Cupcake shoe along with some red velvet cupcakes.

Warriors teammate Jordan Bell posted a photo of Durant’s cupcake cake on Instagram, which USA Today took a screencap of.

It’s not entirely clear who the cake was from, but considering it features Durant’s Nike Cupcake shoe, it probably came from his friends over at the shoe company.

Maybe Kevin Durant can give a slice and a cupcake from his pastry to old pal, Russell Westbrook, who also has something to celebrate after he finally signed his five-year, $205 million contract extension with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Durant’s birthday.

It was Westbrook’s Instagram post of cupcakes targeted at Durant which sparked the whole cupcake craze last year, so Westbrook should appreciate the reference.
