At 38 years old and with a ton of mileage on his body, Golden State Warriors Swiss knife Andre Iguodala knows that he's not going to be around for much longer in the NBA as a player. However, he remains to be viewed as a valuable piece for the Warriors this season, even though he has only played a total of 26 games.
Injuries have been hampering Igoudala from making his way back to the court. He has yet to play a game since the calendar flipped to 2022 — or since Christmas Day of 2021 for that matter. In fact, the last time Iggy has seen action was way back on Dec. 11 in a road game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Iguodala, however, seems to be nearing a return, and in a recent interview with The Athletic, the veteran forward gets honest about how frustrating it's been for him to get back into game-ready form.

“It’s like cancer spreading out to different areas,” Iguodala said of his ailments. “Small things. Nerve damage here. Bulging disc there. The pieces never really quite come together. One area will feel really good and then another area (hurts) the next day and you’re starting over with your rehab. It’s frustrating.”
There is no urgent need for the Warriors to have Iguodala back, as the team is assured of a spot in the playoffs, though they would prefer to have the former NBA Finals MVP in action just before the postseason to shake off the rusts from a long layoff.
