During the Golden State Warriors' thrilling 109-105 victory over the Boston Celtics on Saturday night at Oracle Arena, star point guards in the Warriors' Stephen Curry and the Celtics' Kyrie Irving engaged in an epic duel. When asked after the game whether the absence of Celtics guard Marcus Smart as a lockdown defender had an impact on Curry's scoring outburst, Draymond Green simply shrugged it off.

“I've never seen really one guy in particular lock Steph up,” Green said during his postgame press conference. “Obviously, not having Smart affects them because because he's one of their top defenders, but I've never seen anyone just lock Steph up.”

A video of Green speaking with the media, which was posted to Twitter by Warriors beat writer Anthony Slater of The Athletic, can be viewed below:

Smart, who lacerated his right hand while swiping at a picture frame on Wednesday afternoon at the team's hotel in Los Angeles, was given a timetable to return to action from his injury in two weeks.

Meanwhile, Curry was absolutely on fire on Saturday night, as the two-time MVP put up a season-high in scoring with 49 points on an eye-opening 16-of-24 shots from the field.

Irving, on the other hand, had quite an excellent game for himself for Boston as he went off for 37 points of his own on 13-of-18 shooting. Although the Celtics (34-15) still own the top seed in the Eastern Conference and have played the Warriors (40-10) extremely tough in their two meetings this season, they have lost five of their last six contests dating back to Jan. 16.
