Golden State Warriors All-Star Draymond Green is not one to back away from a challenge. This is why last season's NBA Defensive Player of the Year was glad to hear the news that the Association decided against suspending any player for Game 2.

After a late-game scuffle involving Green himself, several players from the Cleveland Cavaliers were in danger of missing out of Game 2 through suspension. Tristan Thompson was ejected for his actions in the dying seconds, while both Kevin Love and Kyle Korver appeared to have violated league rules by entering the playing court during the ensuing scuffle despite being seated on the bench.

In an interview with USA TODAY Sports' Sam Amick, Green shared his thoughts on the NBA's recent decision.

“Them suspending somebody else don’t make me feel good,” said Green, who himself got suspended in the Warriors' 2016 NBA Finals meltdown against the Cavs. “That’s in the past and it is what it is. I don’t want nobody to get suspended. That does nothing for us, or for me. I’m happy he only got a $25,000 fine. …I maybe (would have) gotten suspended, but ain’t nobody else me so I really don’t care about that.”

Being the competitor that he is, Green wants to Cavs to be in full force when they face off in part two of their championship encounter. The Warriors are already the heavy favorites to win it all this year and depriving the Cavs of some of their most important pieces would surely tip the balance in the favor of the team from Oakland even more.
