It took a while, but the Golden State Warriors are finally on a winning streak. Draymond Green and company seemingly chose the perfect time to give Golden State fans something to be happy about this Christmas season.
Based on how things are going for the Dubs, it may seem like the fairy-tale run is coming to an end as they're set to face the Dallas Mavericks today. Given how well the Mavericks have been on offense, it's hard to think that the Warriors would be able to keep their streak going.
However, Draymond has never shied away from making bold statements. Nothing changed as he said that there's no pressure for them to win against the Mavericks, meaning that they can focus on just playing their brand of basketball.
The Athletic's Anthony Slater shared the video of Green showcasing his exceptional leadership.
Draymond Green said he had an epiphany last week that they’d win five games in a row. They’re at four. Pressure on vs Mavs tomorrow? “Pressure for what? We got nine wins.” pic.twitter.com/DauMMZqOuk

Green is making a fine point to deflect the pressure away from these young Warriors. No matter how the roster looks, they're still the Golden State Warriors who still made five straight NBA finals. The weight of these expectations is still weighing on them in spite of losing Kevin Durant to free agency and the Splash Brothers to injury.
It's a masterstroke from Green: not only does he divert the pressure of winning the game to the Mavs, but it also encourages the team to foster an underdog mentality to make them play better.
Green is doing a better job this season stats-wise. While his shooting is still atrocious, he's averaging a much-better stat line of 9.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 5.5 assists this season.
Moreover, other Warriors have stepped up through this win streak. As long as all of them play with confidence and resilience, they should be able to get snatch the win.
