The Golden State Warriors made a number of roster moves on Thursday to compensate for the loss of D'Angelo Russell, Alec Burks and Glenn Robinson III (among others) via trade.

The Dubs inked former two-way guard Ky Bowman to a multi-year deal, and they also plan to sign G League player Juan Toscano-Anderson

Bowman established himself as a reliable backcourt player for the Warriors, averaging 7.3 points, 2.8 assists and 2.5 rebounds through his first 37 games.

The former Boston College star earned a two-way contract after going undrafted this summer, and head coach Steve Kerr often relied on Bowman to take on tough defensive assignments — including guarding the likes of James Harden.

On the other hand, Toscano-Anderson has spent each of the last two seasons with the Santa Cruz Warriors. The 6-foot-6 swingman was averaging 12.5 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists in nearly 30 minutes per game.

Bowman and Toscano-Anderson might not have otherwise found themselves on NBA rosters under different circumstances. But given the extent of Golden State's injuries as well as the recent roster moves, both players figure to see get fairly significant playing time right from the jump.

The Warriors had roster space after making a series of moves to slash salary and cut their luxury tax deficit.

Golden State traded Russell, Omari Spellman and Jacob Evans to the Minnesota Timberwolves in a move that brought Andrew Wiggins to the Bay Area while also giving the Warriors a pair of future draft selections. Meanwhile, Bob Myers orchestrated a separate move which sent Burks and Robinson III to the Philadelphia 76ers.

But for Ky Bowman and Juan Toscano-Anderson, their departures have led to greater opportunity.
