Since the turn of the century in 2000, there have been a number of teams formed that were considered “super teams.” The likes of the Los Angeles Lakers with Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, Gary Payton and Karl Malone. The Miami Heat with their “Big 3” of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh. And the current Golden State Warriors lineup.
Recently, a poll has been made by NBA TV for the fans to vote on who they think is the greatest “mega team” in the past 17 years. While there are a number of teams worthy of winning the accolade, the public has spoken and have voted for the 2016-17 Dubs as the winner.
The fans have spoken… The 2016-17 @warriors are officially the greatest #MegaTeam of the 2000s!

It’s not easy to contest their choice as the team’s core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green are arguably one of the most talented group of players to play together. They only lost one game in the entire postseason this past campaign, which goes to show how dominant they’ve been on their way to their second title in three years.
With their front office successfully keeping their core intact this summer, the Warriors are geared for more success in the coming years. That said, expectations are also higher than ever for the defending champions, but one thing that’s certain is they are taking on the challenge head on, and will do their best to live up to their billing.
