The Golden State Warriors face the Portland Trail Blazers in NBA Cup group play. Still, they’ll do so with several key names appearing on the injury report, including stars Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green.
According to the team’s official status update, Butler (right low back strain), Green (illness), and Buddy Hield (illness) are all listed as probable for the matchup, while Jonathan Kuminga remains out due to bilateral knee patellar tendinitis.
De’Anthony Melton also continues to be sidelined following left ACL surgery. The Warriors enter the contest at 9-8, sitting eighth in the West and looking to secure their second straight in-season tournament victory after a 1-0 start.

Golden State is coming off a stretch in which they’ve leaned heavily on scoring from Stephen Curry and have seen significant contributions from role players such as Moses Moody, Brandin Podziemski, and Will Richard.
However, the presence of Butler and Green continues to be central to the team’s identity, with Butler as a dependable late-game scorer and tone-setter, and Green as the defensive engine and primary facilitator behind Curry.
Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers (6-9) arrive in San Francisco depleted by injuries of their own.
Damian Lillard (left Achilles), Scoot Henderson (hamstring), Jrue Holiday (calf), Shaedon Sharpe (calf), Robert Williams III (knee), Matisse Thybulle (thumb), and Blake Wesley (foot) all appear on the injury report, with multiple key names either questionable or ruled out.
Forward Jerami Grant is expected to play despite illness.
Portland has stayed competitive thanks to breakout rookie Donovan Clingan, who leads the team with 10 rebounds per game and anchors one of the strongest rebounding units in the West (45.0 per game).
The Warriors are 8-4 against Western Conference opponents and 1-0 in games decided by one possession, an encouraging sign heading into a potentially gritty tournament showdown. With tournament stakes and roster uncertainty on both sides, the availability of Butler and Green could determine the tone early.
Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET from Chase Center.
