Kevin Durant admitted how last Monday's tiff with Draymond Green was simply too much to bear with the incessantly prying eyes of the media ready to pounce on the story of the Golden State Warriors locker room fiasco. The Warriors had five games to play during a seven-day stretch, but not even the busy schedule could keep reporters away from the biggest story of the day.
“After the game against Atlanta [the night after the incident], I’m like, ‘I need to talk after the game?’’’ Kevin Durant told Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports. “During the game, I’m like, ‘Ah, [expletive], I’m probably going to have to say something about this.’ Why do I have to think about that during the basketball game? And that’s a fight I had to have, focusing on just playing. …
“And that’s what I tend to focus on, but you’ve got so much B.S. that’s being thrown your way that I didn’t create. If I created all of this stuff, then I couldn’t be out here talking like this, but I didn’t create any of this. I’m just out here playing.”
Kevin Durant had left shortly after his heated argument with Draymond Green, waving off inquiring reporters following a 121-116 loss to the L.A. Clippers.

The back-to-back Finals MVP was clearly affected by the attention this incident got from the media, but perhaps even more nicked by the absence of Stephen Curry, as Durant shot over 50 percent only once during the six games without the Warriors starting point guard.
