Warriors forward Kevin Durant knows that the road back to the NBA Finals – or even to the conference title series – is now harder with James including himself in the same conference as Golden State, but when the two superstars met recently, they barely touched on the subject of their rivalry. It’s possible that James’ decision to take his talents to Hollywood was spurred by his endeavors outside of the basketball court. Los Angeles is a favorable location to do and promote his businesses, those that will keep himself busy once his basketball playing days are over. It’s not Michael Jordan’s six rings that James is chasing. He seems to be after the G.O.A.T.’s financial status as well.

Speaking of rings, Durant is only an NBA title short of tying James’ three NBA championships. It was not that long ago when Durant was trailing James by three, but back-to-back titles at the expense of the 33-year-old superstar have greatly narrowed the gap.

Will Durant even it up with James this coming season?
