Durant is having quite a moment on Twitter this Wednesday. After sparring with Portland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum on social media, Durant selected a certain Nate Jones to be his personal target. When Jones tried to lecture the two-time NBA champion on how the latter should have responded to McCollum, Durant immediately came up with a reply – the viciousness of which can’t be hidden despite the Warriors superstar’s apparent effort to conceal it with sarcasm – using his verified Twitter account

Durant has long established his persona on social media as a high-profile athlete/celebrity who has the tendency to show his fangs and bite back at his critics. Depending on how people look at it, Durant’s way of handling things online is what makes him either a bigger villain or a more authentic figure in their eyes.
