The Golden State Warriors have two of the best shooters in NBA history in Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Those two players were even called the best shooting backcourt ever by former Warriors coach Mark Jackson. They continue to make that claim more legitimate Thompson added yet another installment tonight.

Thompson became the second player in NBA history to make at least 200 3-pointers in six different seasons, per Warriors Public Relations. His teammate Curry was the first player to do that. They have both done it in the last six years.

Curry gets most of the attention and notoriety of the Warriors duo. His pregame dribbling routine has become the stuff of legend, and for obvious reasons, he has become one of the most popular sports figures in the country and around the world.

Thompson, on the other hand, is more low key. He has his whole China Klay personality and everyone knows about his close relationship with his dog, Rocco.

But Thompson is just as important as Curry, and at times even more so. His shooting creates the type of gravity that pulls defenses away from his teammates, opening up the floor and creating open shots. Furthermore, his defense is among the best in the league yet so underrated, perhaps overshadowed by his terrific offensive game.

Now that Thompson has completed a rather difficult feat to accomplish, maybe he will get some more notoriety — the type that Curry enjoys that is involved with the way he plays basketball.

It's not like Thompson will one day have 30,000 endorsement deals like Curry, but he, at least, deserves to be known as a player that is one the main guys on the Warriors team. He's a silent assassin who could go off on opponents on a whim.

His contributions are some of the biggest reasons as to why the Warriors are so good, and no one should ever forget that.
