Retired NBA star Paul Pierce adores Kevin Durant. So much in fact that he believes the Golden State Warriors' scoring machine is topnotch at almost everything that he does on the basketball floor.

Apparently, in Pierce’s eyes, there is nothing Durant could not do with exceptional efficiency in terms of playing basketball on the offensive end. There is no debating that Durant is one of the best offensive players in league history. The argument has moved on to whether Durant is the best ever when it comes to getting buckets.

It’s a valid argument, though, and a timely one, as Durant just became the second-youngest player ever in the league to reach the 20,000 points plateau, when he scored 40 points, albeit in a 125-106 loss at home against the L.A. Clippers last Wednesday.
Durant has always been a deadly scorer. He has career averages of 27.2 points per game with a 48.9 field goal shooting percentage. Durant is a 38.1 percent shooter from beyond the arc, too.
With a rare blend of size, length, mobility, and ball-carrying ability, the Warriors superstar has often flummoxed opponents. He almost could score at will with few players having consistent success in taking him out of his rhythm on offense. Durant’s offensive talent is being amplified further in Golden State, where he plays alongside other dangerous scorers that take away some of the opponents’ defensive focus.
So far this season, Kevin Durant is averaging 26.3 points on 50.9 percent shooting from the field for the Warriors.
