Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was cognizant that the days of having an All-Star studded lineup could come to a brief halt. His team has had four players included in the All-Star festivities in the past two seasons, but noted this year might be different, as Draymond Green is likely to miss the cut.

“Um, I doubt (we get four),” Kerr said, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic. “I don’t think so, to be honest with you. I don’t think it’s been that kind of a season. It’s been rocky, at least until the last few weeks.”

Green started out the season out of shape and bothered by a lingering toe injury, which eventually caused him to miss 11 straight games during the early stretch of the season. To top that off, his performance hasn't been up to par this season, averaging only 7.1 points (the lowest since his second season in the league), 7.9 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.9 blocks per game.

That has changed lately, as he has geared into playing shape and got his wind back, now frenetically pushing the pace and being the catalyst the offense has needed him to be for the past four seasons.

“I think the way Draymond has played over the last few weeks, he’s been playing at an All-Star level,” Kerr said. “But he’d be the first to tell you, he wasn’t playing at an All-Star level for the first couple months. So my guess is he won’t make it. But who knows? We’ll see what happens.”

Even Klay Thompson could have trouble getting in, given his slow start to the season, but he does have two seminal moments — his record-breaking 14-trey night against the Chicago Bulls and the recent 10-straight-trifecta night against the Los Angeles Lakers — which could aid his case in the eyes of the coaches, who will select the reserves.
