Article Continues BelowWarriors new arena opponents have filed an appeal asserting that arena location would hamper access to UCSF Hospital, could lead to deaths.
The arena will be located in the Mission Bay neighborhood, with AT&T Park and the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital extremely close by. The complaint is that the traffic getting to the Chase Center would influence the access to the Hospital, which could have serious consequences, such as deaths to people that need medical attention quickly.
Now we all enjoy basketball, but access to a major hospital is very important compared to a game which doesn't even affect a majority of the population.
That increased amount of traffic will certainly affect the hospital and that area. An agreement needs to be met before the construction is planned in the spring of 2017.
