Golden State Warriors general manager Bob Myers has reportedly been staying in contact with Kevin Durant and his business partner Rich Kleiman since the season ended, according to Brian Windhorst and Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.

The Warriors can offer Durant a five-year, $221 million supermax contract this summer. KD is expected to miss the entire 2019-20 season recovering from the right Achilles tear he suffered in Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors.

The fact that Myers, Durant and Kleiman have been talking pretty much puts an end to the rumors that KD is upset with the Warriors following his Achilles injury.

Still hugely in demand despite his injury, Durant will get numerous other offers. If he wants to go elsewhere now, the Warriors are preparing plans to pivot and potentially try to work with Durant on a sign-and-trade deal. Myers has been staying in contact with Durant and his business partner Rich Kleiman since the season ended, according to sources.

Durant and Kawhi Leonard will be the most sought-after free agents this offseason. If KD decides to leave the Warriors, he will likely sign with either the New York Knicks or Brooklyn Nets.

Free agency starts on June 30. All eyes are going to be on Kevin Durant.
