Golden State Warriors superstar small forward Kevin Durant will reportedly likely miss the entire Western Conference Finals against the Portland Trail Blazers, according to Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area.

Durant's right calf injury is more serious than the Warriors initially thought. KD has already been ruled out for Games 3 and 4 in Portland.

The injury initially was described as a mild strain of the right calf, leading to speculation that KD might be able to return at some point in the conference finals – maybe inside two weeks. Game 3 is on Saturday, and Game 4 is on Monday. The latest possible date of the Warriors-Blazers series would be Sunday, May 26, when Game 7 would be played in Oakland.

Durant likely will miss the entire conference finals, according to a league source. This is not what the Warriors had hoped.

The Warriors are up 2-0 on the Blazers and playing really well right now, so there's no need to rush Durant back. Golden State can probably advance to the NBA Finals without KD.

Durant is averaging 34.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.9 assists in the 2019 playoffs while shooting 51.3 percent from the field, 41.6 percent from beyond the arc and 90.1 percent from the free-throw line. The Warriors will need Durant in the NBA Finals. Golden State will face either the Toronto Raptors or Milwaukee Bucks.
