The Draymond Green era with the Golden State Warriors appears to be coming to an end, as Green told reporters on Wednesday he wants a buyout so he can play for a playoff team.

Of course, we were just kidding around. Green intends to spend his entire career with the Warriors. In a down and lost season for the Dubs, he is just trying to keep the mood light.
The 29-year-old forward signed a four-year, $100 million extension with the Warriors before the season started. He will make $18.5 million this 2019-20, with his new contract kicking in during the 2020-21 season.
Article Continues BelowDraymond Green is averaging 8.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 6.2 assists for the Warriors this campaign while shooting 38.8 percent from the field, 28.8 percent from beyond the arc and 75.9 percent from the free-throw line.
The Warriors will miss the playoffs for the first time in the Steve Kerr era. Kerr took over for Mark Jackson in the summer of 2014 and helped the Dubs win three championships in five seasons.
This season has undoubtedly been awful for the Warriors, as they own the worst record (12-43) in the league. With Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala gone, the Dubs have struggled greatly. It also did not help that Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have been sidelined due to long-term injuries.
