The addition of Isaiah Thomas into a point-guard built franchise could be potentially a shoo-in for the Los Angeles Lakers, who still have starter Lonzo Ball on the shelf with a knee injury.

While this caveat limits the longevity of this plan, head coach Luke Walton doesn't see an issue with the latest move from the front office, hopeful to get Thomas and Channing Frye on the floor as soon as possible.

“I wouldn’t envision them having an issue with the way that we play,” said Walton, according to Ryan Ward of ClutchPoints.

Thomas would be a natural fit at the position, giving Walton's high-tempo offense and his ability to pull-up on a dime and torch teams from the perimeter. What should concern this team the most is the avalanche of drama that awaits them once Walton is forced to make a decision on who to start once Ball is healthy.

If Walton starts Thomas, LaVar Ball won't take two seconds to torch the coach's character and decision-making, while if he opts for Ball, Thomas would be ultimately frustrated after bouncing from place to place (three teams in the last eight months) and not getting the right opportunity to showcase his talents

Frye is a plug-and-play in any rotation, given his prowess from three and his ability to play the pick-and-pop game throughout his career. He won't garner much playing time, but adhering him to the system will be as easy as screwing in a light bulb for this fast-paced Walton offense.
