Anthony Davis' status for the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 5 against the Portland Trail Blazers has been one of the main concerns of fans after he was pulled out midway during Monday's Game 4.
Davis was ruled out for the rest of the evening due to back spasms, raising questions whether it will be an issue in their upcoming — and potentially closing — game against Portland on Wednesday.
According to Lakers insider Mike Trudell of Spectrum Sportsnet, though, Davis said he should be ready to go in the pivotal clash.
In the walkoff interview on @SpectrumSN, @AntDavis23 said his back is fine, and he’s 100% going to be ready to play in Game 5. He said the coaching/training staff was being extra careful considering the big lead.

This comes as no surprise, considering how Anthony Davis was likely just given the remainder of the night off due to the fact that the Lakers had already amassed an insurmountable lead against the Blazers early on.
The lopsided contest finished 135-115, lifting LA to a 3-1 advantage in the series. They now have a tremendous opportunity to close out their first-round matchup against Portland on Wednesday.
Davis logged just 18 minutes on Monday, finishing with 18 points on 5-of-8 shooting. He also had five rebounds, five assists, a steal and two blocks. The 6-foot-10 big man did most of his damage in the first quarter, and his services were no longer required later in the game.
It is also worth noting that Blazers superstar point guard Damian Lillard was unable to finish Monday's matchup due to a knee injury.
