The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly the frontrunners to sign Leonard in free agency. They traded away Mo Wagner, Isaac Bonga, and Jemerrio Jones to the Washington Wizards and convinced newly-acquired Anthony Davis to waive his trade kicker, which led to LA's cap room rising from $23 million to $32 million over the past weekend.
They are poised to offer Leonard the final max spot they've just created.

A couple of months ago, he also liked an Instagram photo of former teammate Kyrie Irving wearing a Lakers uniform. Basically, the four-time MVP is just making his intentions clear.

The Lakers are expected to have a face-to-face meeting with Leonard once free agency opens. Nothing is certain, especially since the Los Angeles Clippers and Toronto Raptors are still in play, but as of this moment, the Lakers are seemingly the favorites to sign the Fun Guy.
