Dwayne Haskins wasn't the only one upset at sliding to the middle of the first round on draft night.

In a twitter exchange with teammate Josh Hart, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James also expressed a desire for the former Ohio State quarterback to get revenge on the teams that passed on him. Despite openly supporting Haskins, though, James stopped well short of accepting Hart's suggestion that he should now root for the Washington Redskins.

LeBron James rooted for the Cowboys as a kid, and has continued rooting for the team during time in the public eye – even ahead of the Cleveland Browns, both his hometown team and the football counterpart to James' former club, the Cleveland Cavaliers. As such, it's safe to say he harbors some measure of distaste for the Redskins, the Cowboys' longest-running and most storied rival.

Growing up in Akron, OH, James was also fond of Haskins' Ohio State Buckeyes. Not only does his personal Nike brand outfit the Buckeyes football and basketball teams, but the three-time champion has attended multiple Ohio State football games over the years, and has never shied away from publicly rooting for the team.

Haskins, one considered a potential No. 1 overall pick, fell to 15th on draft night before Washington ended his slide. The New York Giants surprised the football world by taking Duke signal-caller Daniel Jones with the sixth overall pick. They'd previously been linked to Haskins.

After the draft, Haskins told ESPN that “the league done messed up” for letting him get to the middle of the first round, saying he's “more motivated than ever before.”
