The Los Angeles Lakers previously listed superstar LeBron James as questionable for their Sunday night match-up versus the Atlanta Hawks.

According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, The King confirmed to Rachel Nichols that he plans to play against Atlanta.

James is reportedly dealing with a sore right elbow. He sustained the injury at the end of their 113-110 victory over the Miami Heat when he fell on the floor after a collision with Jimmy Butler.

The Lakers kept their winning ways intact and extended their streak to 13 games after defeating the Heat in a thrilling contest last night. They also consequently handed Miami its first home loss this season.

James is currently having a day off in Ohio, watching his son Bronny play. Bronny's team Sierra Canyon just edged out LeBron's former alma mater St. Vincent-St. Mary off of Bronny's clutch steal and layup to give them the win.

The King has yet to miss a game for the Lakers this season. He has played in all of their 26 games thus far and is averaging nearly 35 minutes per game.

James turns 35 later this month. It may be smart for Los Angeles to give him some days off, especially when he is nursing some kind of injury.

Like James, Anthony Davis has also been dealing with his share of nagging ailments. AD, however, has been playing through them over the course of the season.

The Lakers can probably afford to sit out one of their two stars in this game against the lowly Atlanta Hawks. They might need to consider easing their load a little bit to keep them fresh for an eventual deep postseason run.
